No one told you that being an adult was so hard.
Does this sound like you?
Maybe you spend all day working in a job you hate, worrying that you’ll spend the next 40 years doing the same thing. You have a nagging suspicion that you were meant for something else, but you don’t know what it is yet.
Or maybe you’ve been on one too many unremarkable Tinder dates, and you’re starting to lose hope. You’re watching all of your friends get married, and you’re not sure it will ever be your turn. It seems like every time you get your hopes up, you get your heart slammed into the ground… again.
If you are in a relationship, it’s rocky. You spend a lot of time thinking about the future. How do you know if you’re in love, anyway? Like, in love enough to stay?
Maybe you’re just not where you thought you’d be by now. Whatever it is, you’re struggling.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
I’m Kristyn Childres, and I’m a writer and a life coach. It’s my mission to help young women infuse joy, passion and happiness back into their lives. Whether it’s career issues, love worries, or just a serious case of the blues, if you need a listening ear to help you get back on track, I can help.
I’ve been listening to people and offering fresh perspectives on their situations for as long as I can remember. In 2013, I took life coach training so that I could learn more tools for helping people.
I have a knack for seeing the positive in situations. I can help you understand your options and see that there might be more beneficial ways to think about your situation than the one you’re currently choosing. I am cheerful, positive, and kind, and as a coach, I really want the best for you. I want you to love your life. Click here for more information on working with me one-on-one.
A few fun facts about me:
I wrote a young adult novel, and I’m currently seeking representation from a literary agent. It’s called Homework, Girlfriends, and Other Things I Cheated On, and it’s about seventeen year old Dirk Applewhite’s fateful first semester at boarding school. It’s kind of like High Fidelity meets The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
I love music with great lyrics. I have a special place in my heart for The Gaslight Anthem, The Hold Steady, and Bruce Springsteen, but really, I’ll listen to anything. I can often be found shaking my stuff at local Zumba classes. And if you’re playing music trivia or Name That Tune? I’m the girl you want on your team.
So yeah. Hook me up with a soy latte and let me shuffle through the songs on your iPod and I’ll be one happy camper. If you want to listen to a playlist I made, you can click here.
